China Pictures 2

This was taken out the bus window while making our way across Shanghai.  You may have to view the larger version to get the point here.  Hint:  look at the bike rack.

Did I mention Shanghai is a beautiful city?  This is the view from the waterfront across the river.

We were greeted warmly everywhere we went, especially by children like this group of schoolkids in Shanghai.

After Shanghai, we traveled inland to catch our cruise boat.  We made a brief stop in Wuhan to see the Yellow Crane Tower and this large bell.

This is an evening street scene in Sha Shi, the small town where we boarded our  cruise boat.  Our guides call the game these men were playing “Chinese Chess”.

Now we’re on the Yangtze!  Views like this were common along the river.  Of course, large modern shipping vessels are common too, and even hydrofoils speed up and down the river.  But this boat was sure scenic.
