Here are some of the sights in Delhi, India’s capital city.

The Qutb Minar, dating from 1193, is the tallest of its kind in the world, at 72.5 meters (237 feet) high.  The surface is ornately carved.

The Jantar Mantar in Delhi is an observatory build by the emperor Jai Singh II in 1724.  These masonry structures are oversized astronomical instruments.  Jai Singh built several of these observatories.

The Jama Masjid in Delhi is India’s largest mosque.

Cows roam freely in some parts of Delhi, and seem to like hanging out in the median of the road.
