In March and April of 2005, we went to India for nearly a month on vacation.  We spent about half our time in Delhi, and about half our time seeing other parts of the country.

We visited Jaipur, Agra, Varanasi, Bandhavgarh National Park, Khajuraho, Aurangabad, and some caves near the small towns of Ajanta and Ellora, near Aurangabad.  Each part of India has its own personality and scenery.  It’s almost like visiting several different countries.
